It was a good attempt at a modern remake but at the same time it was too dark, the marines were fucked and just ran at me while doing that HL2 half assed sidestepping thing mid gunfight, levels were butchered, various designs were made worse and Xen was a slog. When it's okay to give up on a game?

I'm still playing Cyber Knights Flashpoint at evenings but game feels more and more like a chore. Sure, I could have expected that, given that developers are the ones behind Templar Battleforce but it's like I don't get more powerful while game gets more annoying and hard. Imagine stealth and turn based game where you constantly reload turn to execute near perfect plans because single mistake snowball into disaster (single fuck up and guard notice you, start shooting, more guards hear gunfire and join, which alert more guards, security AI freak out and start to spawn enemies which also count for alert Bart and more spawning and so on) AND later missions start to have automatic alert bar increase so you have to rush anyway. I'm not sure if I will be able to reach the end of game that way. Yet, I cannot force myself to drop it as I hate dropping things. What to do?

Lately I've taken a liking to dropping a fat log on top of my keyboard after ranked matches (with mic on, I am a very loud shitter), regardless of win or loss.

Quake. It's magical, it's spartan in design but maps are concise yet complex but not too complex, it has slight platforming and puzzle mechanics but shooting is still the primary goal and every enemy is somewhat unique. Wanting to finish my Persona 3 Reload At Home run, but being in January, doing the math, and watching more and watching more social links slip through my fingers and be unable to finish them really makes you not want to finish the game.

Been playing Blasphemous 2, seems like a really good game but I am too sick to enjoy anything anymore, I am not going to go into it but everything was taken from me in the most brutal ways possible and I would do anything to go back a nd have a chance at the life I thought I was going to get to live. I find that I enjoy games more when I play them blind with little to no idea about what they're about. And have no real expectations and no outside influences making me question if it's good or not. The fact that it's a new Silent Hill game is enough to get me to check it out at least.

I kind of agree. The town areas begin to feel like unnecessary padding. I liked the new gas station key area though. I feel like because they made it longer and added more combat it makes it a one and done game instead of if they had kept it tighter. But I'm enjoying the prison area the spider mannequins are kino getting the rifle felt like a proper reward and having a central area to return to for the weight puzzle whilst also chipping away at your ammo and health every time you have make the push for a new weight gave it a unique flow.
