Humans in Pokemon have been shown to be extremely resilient. I'd imagine they're physically tougher than real humans are, and that's likely due to them growing and evolving around powerful creatures like Pokemon. Just look at how often people shrug off shocks from Ash's Pikachu. The Team Rocket trio gets hit with it so often they eventually become completely numb to it, even.

there's just a huge amount of things in the series that still confuse me even since i was a kid
how far back does human/pokemon history go? legends arceus goes into it a little but not enough
how much sentience does each kind of pokemon get? some are just slightly designed animals but others are nearly human-like in nature but are still treated as "wild", what's preventing those from integrating into human society on their own?

I am not conceding an inch of my support for transgender people just because half of the government is attacking them and the other half is treating them like a political inconvenience. I do not care how mainstream the hate gets. I do not care how much politicians muddy the waters and make it seem like human rights are a debatable issue.

Trans people are real. Trans healthcare is a miracle, and if any other medical intervention had the success rate that trans healthcare does, it too would be considered a miracle.
