You can create as many alts as you want on Gamefaqs so all their lists and ratings are pretty much meaningless.

Not really.
There's some major problems with the ratings there.
-Massive recency bias.
-They tend to over-rate the shit out of JRPGs
-If you lower the votes just slightly to find more obscure games, the entire list fills up with endless mega man games.
-Arcade games are severely under-rated there.

Still, unfortunately, it's the best website if you're looking for user ratings. It's hands down the best way to find obscure games.
All the others (mobygames, igdb, glitchwave etc) have absolutely fuck-all votes/sample size, and many games don't have any votes at all.
