The classes aren't unique at all since they can cross swap any weapon.
The maps are really weird. I can't describe it. They mostly have huge open areas and then 2 sides have camp spots to poke shots at each other. For example, in Attackers vs Defenders, Defenders will win 90% of the time due to the maps design, unless they are fucking retarded.
The game has just less content by like 50% compared to a normal Battlefield release, and they are charging $70+ for it.

In BF4 you had destructible environments that would change the whole map and in BF3 you had maps with gimmicks that would turn the game into a funfest like the corridors in metro . To be honest, all I remember about BC2 destruction is that you can destroy specific chunks of buildings that stood alone on their own until it finally collapses. Like you launched a grenade at it and it would just blow the same hole in the building every time until there were enough holes to collapse. It worked, but the footage I've seen from BF6 lets you actually blow chunks of buildings that are actually up against another one or a part of a bridge or something. I don't know. Haven't played the beta yet, but it seems more interesting than BC2's way to me.

It was 4k for me a few hours ago.

I played like 6 rounds. I'm mixed. I'm not a fan of some systems, but Zampella having medics do an auto-drag to revive means he's already did something DICE-SE promised to do 2 games ago and finally implemented, so he's ahead on that.

I'm with you on this. They fix some issues with 2042's shitty systems, but the core is still 2042 at heart. So my BF4-2 dreams are over.

It's still a step in the right direction for the 2042 era though. Not buying it (since I'm on Arch, BTW) but I'll give Vince some props for at least addressing some of the complaints I had with 2042.

2042 is still dogshit however.

My impression after 2 games
I actually kinda like it so far. I don't know if its really easy to do well due to it being full of people who've played the game for the first time, but its pretty easy to do well.
Some of the maps absolutely suck. I think Liberation Peak (?) was a map that absolutely sucked dogwater due to the openness and how it encourages people to sit back, it gets super one-sided.
