Bananza's gameplay is shit and feels like it was made for mentally disabled children to beat, DK games were famous for having a fair bit of difficulty with the platforming, but this shit was so painfully easy to beat, just spam Y and you win, no thought required, this crap is basically that one section in Odyssey where you use Cappy on Bowser and just start breaking everything, so faggot at Nintendo saw this crap and thought it would be amazing to make a game based around it, even K.Rool coming back sucked because his boss fights just felt like shit due to how braindead they were as well, he's a fucking damage sponge on his final fight and barely does anything outside of shitting on the entire arena until he decides to shoot his blunderbuss at you for you to be able to retaliate, elephant bananza does help here, but it doesn't change just how painfully slow the fight feels like.

I prefer the old design, but I don't hate the new one. He' far less stoic looking and is goofy in different ways, he also does things the old dk wouldn't do(or rather couldn't do) like that banana slobbering face he makes all the time.

It's clear that miyamoto wanted to reclaim Donkey Kong. He tried to do it on the Gameboy but Rare completely outpaced him. The new design is like 70% rare, 30% OG. He's still got the tier, the black behind his eyes and his iconic hair curl is now dropping down way more and looks like a tuft but he's also a bit beefer.
