It's a bit hard to say, P rank experiences are so different for everyone... I've seen someone say that Ancient Cheese was hell and that's the only one I've considered an easy P rank (I've just started doing them, just P ranked the first floor, now I gotta P rank the boss)
So, these are the things I've considered useful:
-don't forget about the super taunt (when you beat 10 enemies, you can super taunt to kill all enemies on screen so you won't lose your combo)
-grab and crouch (just learned this to beat bloodsauce dungeon, it makes you go super fast instantly, so it's really important)
-learn to parry (it's easy and it will save your ass a lot)
-change rooms to dodge pizzaface (if you're close to the exit and he's about to catch you, try going to another room if possible, it restarts him and you can escape. You may lose your combo, but it's worth a try. At least you'll get an S and not a game over)
That's all I can think of. P ranking is hard, but this screen makes it all worth it.

100% perfect execution is not required. The earlier levels like floors 1-2 at least give you enough leeway that you can mess up a little and still keep your combo. You still need to move well, but not absolutely perfectly, which I really appreciate.

Freezerator is my number one most hated level. Those fucking snowman are the only regular enemies who don’t react to mach and I always get hit by their noses. There’s also plenty of places to get stuck without anything to keep a combo, like you said.

I'm not a master of game design, I just play games, but I can say the things that I love about it. The game is overflowing with personality, each character seems interesting, every movement they make, their mannerisms are unique. All of them are sonexpressive, too. The amount of details in the animation are satisfying to see.
The levels are pretty well crafted, every transformation and mechanic (e.g. the Cheese that breaks when you step on it) is placed in a way that's meant to teach you how to interact with it from the first second you do and it works perfectly. The characters feel great to control, and mastering their movesets is a lot of fun, add a killer soundtrack and I think there's nothing else you could ask from it.
I love this game, it's one of the few times I've wanted to 100% something.

It was made and reworked like a million times. Sure, it's easy to meme about how the SAGE demo is closer to the final game than most of the ones that came after, but all that time wasn't wasted. A lot of design and concept work went on that still had impact on the final game, whether or not the mechanics/levels/characters stayed.
I think creating a lot of possibilities and then whittling your game down to something smaller than it potentially could've been makes the whole experience feel overall better and tighter.

Commitment to theme on every level. There are few (if any) elements that are out of place or immersion breaking, because they all work together to create a cohesive experience. The bombastic music, the over-the-top expressive art, the commitment to the commercial pizza theme (complete with Noid ripoff), Peppino being a nervous wreck being driven to the brink of madness, it all feeds into this idea of the game being a playful take on American-Italian stereotypes, to the point that the game itself feels like one. It's the kind of game that doesn't take itself seriously, and it doesn't want you to take it seriously either.

My experience was the exact opposite, personally. Bumbling through the levels on the first playthrough was fun, but going back and get good ranks was the most unfun thing ever. It's like that complaint about classic Sonic being running really fast for a bit and then running into spikes you couldn't see coming, except that's exactly what this game is, and you have literally zero margin for error when going for a P rank.

That's honestly why I like the Noise route, because the end is the only time Pizzahead isn't smiling (and for very good reason - you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who would smile at being at ground zero of a fucking nuke).
