Rebirth also likely turned off a large chunk of fans in a way that they won't return. That game was a mess of stupid busywork and anyone shilling it should be ashamed of themselves. KH4 is also likely to be DOA because KH3 was terrible. Disney has too much creative control and they don't know how video games work.

It's genuinely incredible. And it plays like Final Fantasy.
It starts a tad slow, but it genuinely doesn't take that long before the game gets going. Once you unlock the ability to teleport and the game's main gimmick of dimension stuff, and start recruiting multiple party members. Then the game rolls onwards rather nicely and honestly just keeps getting better and better as the world expands, even more mechanics are introduced, and more party members are recruited.

If you ever liked FF7 through FF10 or like FF in general. Then I can't fathom why you wouldn't like Fantasian too. I love the game.

It's a genuinely unique game. There are some superficial similarities when it comes to its formula with games like Mario Odyssey. Except not really because Bananas are not hidden the same way and they don't gate progress like Odyssey's moons.

And in truth, even if it did have Odyssey's formula (which it doesn't), in practise, no other game plays like Bananza.
There are games like Teardown or Minecraft or whatever that does tons of voxelstuff, but there is no larger adventure game platformer that does 80+% fully destructible worlds with voxels, where you can grab and chuck pieces of the world all over the place as you wish.
It's a actually a unique game experience, and it's a strong game experience too.

Each Octokike game sold like 1 - 3 million and comparatively cost nothing to make. The SaGa 2 remake was also very successful. The actual financial failures are games like FF16 and 7R2. They cost so much to make that even 3 million sales aren't enough.

7 Rebirth and Emerald Beyond were the most fun I had with jrpgs in the past decade. Two games that cared a lot about delivering good battle gameplay in a genre thats been awful about it lately. A shame about sales, but the gaming audience is just too different now and not even in a good way
