Current changelog for 0.9. Keep in mind Nose is retarded and likes to omit information from these because he thinks it's funny (he also just does it on accident sometimes). The [NEW]s are things he recently added to the changelog.

Potted plant removal is because you can now plant and take care of them (I'm half-sure fake plants that work like the old potted plants were brought up so don't worry too much if you liked using them for deco). Modules tab removal is because modules were moved to the shop as physical objects you slot into the machinery. Separate PC parts are so you can move the mouse and keyboard and stereo and other parts around (and have them knocked around because fuck you go do more busywork). Explosion deafness and tinnitus will be able to be toggled off because fuck dealing with that. Item interaction controls (grab, pick up, hold, etc) were all massively changed (E, holding E, clicking and right clicking instead of random esoteric combinations of alt, E and R) so you may have to relearn the game. New daily tasks are being added, not a lot of info on them.

There is info on the new daily task actually. I remembered there being something else, but it's just one new task. It's a tape you have to record. Each tape takes about 25 to 30 percent of the day (or so Nose says) to complete and you only need to get the tapes to 10% to reach the daily quota.

Blueprints have no significant performance impact, they're just prebuilt chunks of code put together. Performance issues are in many other places in unreal, for instance 'transparency' in textures, see-through materials and such are WAY worse. Tree branches textured as flat planes with transparent sections force a shit ton of draw calls because it has to do it again for every stacked texture and then everything beyond it. This is why looking out the window at trees will sometimes make the game hitch on shittier PCs.

As for what I want the game to "be", I dunno, it's pretty good as-is, though I'd definitely space a lot of content out a lot more and make the game a more slow-burn sort of thing. Kinda sucks the game's pretty peaceful for a week or two in game and then you're just full-throttle until the end.

I'm not saying it's a good idea, but I think if this game ever does have a proper ending, or some sort of final boss, the most appropriate thing I could think of is something similar to HL2 episode 2's ending, where you're forced out of the base and have to drive around doing something to help buy the arirals time while they actually combat the threat.
Your ability to fight back yourself would be limited to whatever you can carry in terms of molotovs or other improvised weapons; you could also maybe upgrade kerfur in some way to actually let it act as a bodyguard while you're doing shit.

Ventcrawler exists in the files but isn't fully scripted nor implemented. I think Nose accidentally left something related to it active back in the 0.8 test versions because a bunch of people reported hearing whispering in the base and those reports completely stopped once the release versions of 0.8 came around. The concept exists and will some day be implemented (and was sort-of implemented in one version), but not right now.
