I was the same way except I had 1.5 hr commute each way and often longer in winter. I would just get home, eat, shower, play an hour of vidya and sleep and then wake up early for work again. Honestly just find a closer job or just neet. Probably bad advice. My commute was so bad my parents could get home, do groceries, go to doctor and get their haircut and still be back before me.

I don't even want to play video games. I want to go for a walk, or read, or even just fucking rot for a bit. But I don't even have that luxury. By the time I get home I barely have enough time to make dinner and my lunch for tomorrow, then I go straight to bed.

how can you not be incredibly bitter about living in usa where you're forced to pay 90% of your paycheck on rent or live hours away from work

My previous job left me whopping 1-2 hours a night to play. I was dead tired all the time, but had to escape thinking about that hell for at least a little while. I learned to appreciate every single minute. Really, I might look at the clock and be like, I can still play for 11 more minutes, this is heaven

find a place to live closer to your job.
factor commute time into your work hours before you decide if it's worth doing. unless you have public transportation that you can use to just fuck around on the internet while waiting then 1 hour one way isn't that bad.

I have naturally high energy levels and just don’t really care about anything
For example I worked a 13 hour day yesterday and went to a restaurant for 2 hours after, then chilled with friends for another 3, slept, and got up to do it again. It doesn’t put me off or cause me any stress. I have ADHD though, I literally cycle through neurotypical friend groups because they get worn out. I just can’t keep a gf for long because 1. I get bored 2. girls are too slow. It’s not that I can’t go out and talk about the relationship, I just don’t care that much. I can make you feel special and seen but it gets really boring after awhile so eventually I stop. I can’t just B myself because people think I’m crazy. The only girl that truly understood me and to date the only person I have ever truly connected with has a dangerous personality disorder. It’s difficult sometimes but I’m thankful I wasn’t born to be some insipid pseudointellectual or some wasted retard with barely enough energy to get out of bed. I also have major depressive disorder idk if that matters

I work 9hr days and have a 1.5hr commute one way and last night still had time to watch an ep of the sopranos with my cat, walk to the store and play a 70min game of dota with my friends wtf are you on about. You just gotta make the most of your time.

Meal prep so you don’t waste time cooking dinner, or learn some super quick dishes like rice cooker chicken. If your work is flexible get there early and leave early. My workday+commute is 6:30AM to 6:30PM and I still beat way more vidya than when I did nothing at a WFH job and was depressed as fuck

Most wagies work inside their own metropolitan zone or an adjacent one. Your problem is your travelling distance going beyond that.
Had to quit a logistics management job as it paid like 10k a month but at the cost of not even be able to see my wife and son as I've been on board to the cargo ships 24/7 only getting a week off after 2 months. Also my wife threatened me with a divorce, tho. Since then, I've been working as security for 6 hours at night for 1.5K, while getting enough time for playing games and family, especially with my wife also playing games. I also play games on my Switch during my security job.
