This is too innocuous a statement to dislike her. She isn't being antagonistic in any way and is responding to a large amount of vitriol. As an outsider she doesn't understand her position in the historical arc of games turning to shit over more than a decade. To her the reaction is entirely about her specifically and she is ignorant of the larger landscape and picture.

Druckmann has made enemies on all sides. I think it will be surprising how little everyone cares about Intergalactic. I don't even predict there will be much hate, instead there will be disinterest.

Unless it somehow is a really fucking good soulslike and fun to play. But returnal was a great game and it got utterly sabotaged by its narrative and presentation decisions so not even grear gameplay makes a game immune to indifference.

That's the thing though. I feel less inclined to play when it has a repulsive "POLITICAL STATEMENT" character on the front. I boughted a PS5 with a Forbidden West code on it, and got the first game on PS+. Thought "Holy fuk I hate Aloy's fat face but they say it's good" so I play and I just couldn't fucking stand it.

I literally can't play those types of games even if the graphics and gameplay is fantastic. The fact that there's a political postergirl in your face the whole time make me go "what am I doing?" and just turn it off.

So she's wrong. I can prove it with my Play Activity. I might buy it because it's such a hyped up game, but the chances that I'm going to play it in any measure is slim.

Does anyone else ever find that most of the time when you first hear about a game it's always in the form of an article that assumes you already hate it?
