and time is literally money as in: if the seller can wait on his merchandise for a better price then he is literally making money by refusing even "good" offers that are not good enough
i think in the end it boils down to simple entitlement. they think they are dealing with big corporations who make their money by selling to as many people as possible with thin margins instead of having a curated selection of rare items
