Some great game IPs were closed/never continued (NOX is still to this day the only good hack n slash PVP game, despite there being million of diablo clones, not one of them is even taking a shot at doing PVP that NOX had). During x360/ps3 era, the roles were reversed, which is why you see games with ton of silly game controller menu diving mechanics on a PC game (Oblivion vs Morrowind is one of the first ones, I like oblivion though, but Skyrim made things far worse). Why make a complex games anymore when you can just target lowest common denominator, the madden and fifa players of x360/ps3 era, why make a game your target audience cannot play?
