Blood is fun and people back then did not actually play on extra crispy since it was not until much later people would play games for bragging rights. Blood is the best build game. I regret not buying a copy back when because Doom clones were phasing out and went for MK4 instead...
Super Fun Nest is genuinely incredibly fun, the fact it also gives you the shotgun skin was sweet. Too bad they stopped giving gold skins for Master Levels.
Eternal is a great game.
TDA has a long way to go and the Heretic+Hexen re-release just cements it was possibly a new IP / revival forced into the Doom frame because MS and Bethesda demanded it.
As a new Ip I would had given TDA a pass but it is still terrible because $70 is way too much for how little it offers in contrast to Eternal and Doom 2016 which got everything.
The effort is commendable.
The good news is that it places Doom as a franchise in a spot where it cannot be whored out like Bethesda and MS wanted but it prevents Id from getting axed or treated like 343i. At this point I rather see Id tackle Halo, which I believe was the point of inserting the dragon and the mech into the game, to showcase they could do vehicle sections.
