It's sad too because there's only maybe 1 or 2 games where it's actually impressive to be the best as they have large (by fighting game standards, compared to everything else it's pathetically small) population.
In everything else you only need to be better than maybe 20 or 30 people to be the best but people will still treat that like an accomplishment for some reason.
