I know nothing about PCs i just wanna be able to play most modern 2020+ games. Will I be able to run them?

RAM: 32.0 GB

I was also told "i don't need to play on my integrated card" which i assume it's the SSD, because this SSD has shit space left, but i doubt that's true doesn't all unreal engine 5 games require SSD no matter what? Or is there such a thing as "HDD that simulates SSD"?

Yeah, if you want to play the newer games (of questionable quality) you will need to downgrade a lot.

If you do want to upgrade, I strongly suggest putting in the effort to understand computer building in terms of AMD vs NVIDIA stuff (you have AMD) and look at getting stuff from say, 2 generations back for a nice price.

Your RAM is fine in terms of space, CPU is fine... I can only assume your motherboard is fine since it supported you getting 32gb of RAM.

if you are on an SSD drive, you will want to try and find a way to have a certain percentage of space left, because it fucks with your system when the memory is almost full.
Could get a hard drive (if you have space) for cheaper and shove old games and photos/videos onto there as well to free up room for what you want to play.
I would (and I am pulling this out of my ass) recommend like 20% free space minimum on whatever SSD your games are on.
same for whatever is the main drive your computer operates off of (the C drive by default)

Well i had a gaming laptop and i'm replacing the laptop with this PC now but looking at how shitty the new one is doesnt' seem like that big of a difference.
Don't have the specs in hand of laptop but thiswas from me checking if i could run Kingdom Come 2 earlier this year in that laptop. I guess with shitty new pc i can't either anyway.

I'd honestly hold it because even a gpu that old can still run 2025 games at 1080p unless ray-tracing is literally baked into it.modern games have frame generation and other settings to offset the weaker hardware so it isn't that much of a problem as it was a decade ago .Use the money for games instead and be happy.

I have a i7-10700f now and it struggles on PoE2 and STALKER 2. Probably won't run stuff like Satisfactory well. Getting a GPU onto that old thing was a huge pain, the clips would not fucking let go. I'm getting rid of it this year and now I have to get the GPU back off and rewire everything, it's a pain. I'm not going to even dare try putting a brand new CPU in that old ass motherboard, even if I could make it windows 11 compatible.

i'd recomend saving for a 1500$ mid range pc instead of a budget build as you'll have to replace parts adn it and it'll cost more in the long run. you can find good deals on like FB marketplace and intel are doing good budget GPUs now

Your PC is better than your laptop. A laptop is almost impossible to upgrade. Your desktop's CPU is old, but CPU performance is often not a bottleneck. The 3600X can be upgraded to a 5800X3D which still performs great in benchmarks. And that's a drop-in replacement, no need for a new motherboard and ram.
Your GPU is old, but will run modern games at low settings. GPU upgrades are much more compatible, and easier to do. Keep your eye out for a 3060 or 6700XT, used prices can fluctuate.

Even though you already have a desktop, watch some videos about how to build a computer. Understand all the parts and what they do and what would happen if they break.
Use pcpartpicker and logicalincrements to explore the market, and pretend like you're building a new computer from scratch.
You already have a PC that works, so you don't need to open it, but you should at least see if there's no dust, and to get comfortable with how it looks.
It's your PC, if you fuck it up, it's on you. Learn before you fuck it up on accident.

I was APU gaming with a 5700G for a while before I finally got a card. You can run fairly modern stuff that isn't the most demanding at 720p Low at a playable fps. Anything before 2016 and 7th gen console emulation also runs fine.
