>>717719859I've always disagreed with people who say the combat in Silent Hill sucks on purpose because you're not supposed to be some elite soldier or warrior but the slight awkwardness does help sell the context compared to doing tactical rolls or kung fu moves. And it's not like the Souls games don't have those moments of survival horror as you carefully inch along a new area not sure if the next enemy is going to turn you into a pancake.
But this combat isn't selling me on it. The laughably bad hitstop, the way enemies don't react. Looks like the game is just going to turn into "hit once, dodge, hit once, dodge". Why even have stamina if you can't hit more than once without the enemy attacking in the middle of the second attack?
