Fuck listening to this is surreal for some reason. Ch1 almost feels like it was a different game by now. And despite the extremely provocative "Field of Hopes and Dreams" name, I don't think this song shares a motif with any other, except obviously the Don't Forget medley.
Then this chapter has Scarlet Forest and THE WORLD REVOLVING. Feels like Toby was just firing on all cylinders with reckless abandon, while all the subsequent chapters insist on building around fewer (albeit very strong) motifs for a more cohesive identity. Card Kingdom has a much more surreal and minimalist design than the subsequent chapters as well.

The Knight frequently shapeshifts. It does so into a sleek bird form when snatching Undyne and when it dodges and weaves around attackers, it takes on the form of a very small sphere. The latter is probably how it gets around the town without anybody noticing. Given the fact that the Titan has the most visible angelic connotations of all the characters and is literally a "guardian" based on its theme, that seems likely. Wouldn't even be surprised if the DEPTHS are connected to this and the "Angel's Heaven" is just some kind of darkness deeper than even the kind that spawns Titans. A lot of people seem have misled themselves into thinking that just because it's an 'Angel' ruling over a heaven that the Angel must be some sort of entity of light.

Spamton's whole thing about HEAVEN is unrelated to the angel or the angel's heaven and all that shit.

He just wanted to become real. To exit the game and become real. And he mistakenly thought the player was the only one who could help him with this. Everything else he babbles about is because he knows the plot and story beats of the entire game and can't shut the fuck up.
