see you say this but it's susie who stops the knight every time, not kris
either the plan was always to grab undyne, or she's more of a priority target than toriel so the knight went after her instead
in either case, kris had no effect on it past maybe trying to lure in undyne too, but unless the latter answer was what kris was working with then there's no reason the knight couldn't have just... grabbed both
