Gaster is gonna pull that shit on you in a dialogue choice, railroading you into picking the option he wants you to pick, and teleporting you back to the center whenever you try to pick the other option

Dess didn't rape Kris, Kris raped Dess and she went out into the woods and killed herself - thats why she went missing. Asgore thought it was the other way around and thought Dess did rape Kris and told Toriel but toriel refused to believe her son was The Raped and the split was on how to deal with a sexually assaulted son (who wasn't actually the raped but the rapist). The reason the body was never found was because Asgore was going to kill Dess but found her already dead and ate the body which is why he's so fat.

Some bosses I brainstormed, particularly the viking Susie I mentioned in a previous post. I was more focused on conveying the idea than anything else which is why these are pretty sloppy. I'm having a hard time with Ralsei though, enough so that implementing him may not work if I can't think of a clever idea.

The pumpkin doesn't actually appear until after you've grabbed the key. You can take your time up until that point. It actually doesn't appear at all until you've got the key and hit a certain point on the map, so take your time getting where you need to be.

Alternatively, you can use Tension items. TensionMax will still max out your gauge in the darkness.

The headband is red, and it's missing.

Deltarune, with its prophecy set in stone, also says its theme out the gate of chapter 1. "Your choices don't matter." The normal and full recruitment route probably goes on to disprove this. The Weird Route so far involves us taking agency away from several characters. We become the enforcer of "their choices do not matter" and it's not hard to see in Chapter 4's weird route that everyone associates with rape, something where the victim's choice is not considered.

Like the genocide route, we're going to prove to many characters their choices do not matter, and in the end, some entity above us will in turn prove the same to us, making the cycle complete.

I think I’m just too pessimistic for Toby’s writing. To me if the heroes do manage to alter the prophecy, my instinct is that it would come with some tradeoff, some sacrifice or hard choice they have to make to change fate for the better. I guess I just think that Normal route = good ending and Weird route = bad ending feels too straightforward for this story even if that was the case in Undertale.

Kris actively starts to push Noelle towards electrocution without any explicit instructions in the Weird Route. And Ch4 confirmed that Weird Route goes against Kris' will.
