Going to church doesn't take that much time. You only have to go to Sunday mass, which is about an hour. If you show up for something else too, you'll already be one of the most engaged, and amount to about 4 hours per week.

This is silly. I think this idea of "outgrowing" video games comes from the fact that it's still a relatively new medium. The younger generation started it and picked it up while the middle-aged and older generations lived most of their lives without it existing. The older people see the younger people playing video games and mistakenly assume that they'll eventually give them up and become like them, but the reality is that video games will be taken to old age and turned into a staple just like the television.

I do most of these plus have several /out/ hobbies and still play games. Not as much as I did when I has younger but unless you're NEET that's always going to be the case, kids have a stupid amount of free time even when they think they don't.
