Enjoyed the infantry gameplay, M417 is my new favorite gun.
Tried the tank and antiair once, they felt really bad, the sensitivity was super slow and the settings for them were all over the place in the options.
It didn't blow my socks off, but was pretty good. I already like it more than any BF since 4.

It needs work obviously, largely in the optimisation department so they can do something about the perceived TTK versus the actual one. Also some of the animations are stiff as hell.
But nothing is really structurally WRONG with it that can't just be patched.

All of these people saying it's good and constantly comparing it to BF3 confound me. My first battlefield was 1942/vietnam in a double jewel case from kmart, and BF2 was the first real game I ever played while it was still ongoing. BF3 fucking sucks and 4 only got better after literal years of support by DICE LA. THIS is what they want to RETVRN to? Can someone clarify for me, am I just out of touch with this?

I liked it mainly because I was playing with a group of friends that were communicating. Didn’t really like the maps. Tired of the Middle East type of maps in games. I think spawns times should be increased to force people to play more strategically

Squad/comradery enabled by the games systems, I hated using my 2nd screen to command in 4 and can't even remember if it was in 3. Honestly it's been a few years since I played those middle-entries in the series, so I think my opinions on maps wouldn't really count. as someone who never played these games. Its fun. But im done playing it after an hour or so or if I have a shit game where I'm dying every ten seconds. I like a big map with different objectives and being able to flank and find a good position. But if i keep getting killed too fast to do any of that I very quickly lose interest. Vehicles are fun, different clases are nice and simple, destructability is fun, graphics are fine but not crazy.
But at the end of it all, I still would rather play doom eternal or dark ages. I like feeling powerful and cool and shooting stuff with punchy feedback. Battlefield often makes me feel weak and stupid and I'm not shooting enough dudes.

Didn't bother playing. I'm not giving dice/ea 70 bucks when I can just play bad company2.

Curious to see the other gadgets and maps. If they offer my diversity of gameplay then I might buy it, but I will wait until I've seen enough gameplay post-release to make my mind up. I'll also be looking at how many tweaks they've made to things that the beta suffered from. Also gonna hold off to wait and see how bad the MTX store is gonna be. If it's a central part of the game menu and it turns into a camo shitfest, I'm likely not gonna buy the game.

You do not seem to be keeping up with current tech. BF6 requires you to install — or automatically installs — EA Javelin. It’s a software that runs alongside your OS (for example Windows) and monitors undisclosed parts of your system for “suspicious” activity to shut you out if you use cheats.

This is why you need Secure Boot: it’s the first step to make sure you don’t boot-inject anything else but EA Javelin and Windows. Then EA Javelin sits there while your system runs. My favorite part is that it's fun without friends. It's fun with friends too but between decent Battlefield releases (last one was almost ten years ago) all I ever played was friendslop, multiplayer games so bad that only socializing with my friends that moved out of state makes up for it. BF6 is just genuinely fun with or without friends. BF has always been like that to me, I'll play it with randos fine.

The dragging/revive mechanic is such a little addition but I feel like it really adds fun and practicality to the game. You no longer have to just sit out in the open risking getting shot at, you can get you and your buddy out of the open before getting them up. I sincerely hope they don't change that mechanic, I recall similar good things having been present in other betas but then the animation somehow gets degraded in the full game, and this is something I dread will happen to it in the release.

I would advocate for more transparency and for sensitizing people to these new practices so game studios and publishers shift away from spyware toward a community approach — and just try to mitigate cheating on a game-server level instead of on clients.

I think people use the shotgun wrong. You gotta actively switch between shotty and whatever you use for longer ranges. Unless you're indoors or in very tight alleys, you really shouldn't utilize the shotgun. It will be interesting to see how the class operates on the larger maps. Could bring something like an SMG for cqc and then bring a dmr for the longer ranges.

Objectively wrong. I thought the same thing until i realized my game defaulted to 60Hz refresh rate. Turn off the two Blur Settings, Chromatic Aberration, Vignette, and Film Grain and turn off AA and it's like a whole new game.

Every weapon within a class feels very similar. I did all of the challenges so I spent a ton of time using ARs SMGs and LMGs, there is no stark difference in TTK. ARs are good for medium engagements. SMGs have some of the best TTK are close range but they're bullet hoses that run out of ammo quickly. LMGs have deep magazines but they're ADS is slow so you can't run around like a headless chicken and thus are better for street fights and medium engagements.

It's changing in retail to get spawn beacon, which sounds like a much better fit. But yeah I dislike that it doesn't have a clear teamplay role.
I've always thought the Recon class has had the wrong kit since at least BC2. It gets the sniper rifle so everyone who picks it is yodeling off in the mountains jerking themselves off, but C4, the sensors, and the spawn beacon all benefit from being close to the action. IMO Assault should just have the recon kit with C4 or a grenade launcher being swappable, and the current Recon should have long range spotting stuff and laser designators.

Why are the narratives around these games swapped? Playing BF6 is the first time I've felt like playing a proper battlefield experience since 1. Its the core experience BF should give without any of the god awful shit 4 had. Playing 4 right after the beta is literally just a shitty cod experience as the gunplay has so little recoil that matches are dominated entirely by aim sweat gods or people abusing op tanks. Meanwhile in BF6 I constantly had fun and success playing as C4 focused recon, breaching stalemates at points and ruining tanks.

People are just conveniently ignoring the fact BF4 was for a long time considered the worst Battlefield game. Now that's some revisionism. BF4 was considered shit at launch because the game literally didn't work. After DICE LA fixed the technical issues and started balancing the game it became popular. No one bought Hardline because it looked like an expansion pack and it was launched partway through BF4's support cycle.

I like that they made tanks into battering rams instead of killstreaks like they used to be. They move slow and make the driver have limited situational awareness making them vulnerable. Meanwhile the map design encourages using them alongside infantry, which is awesome combined arms gameplay.

I think this is the first time I have seen such tight combined arms with armor and infantry ever in battlefield and all it took was to adjust how the vehicles handle, controls and their UI.

I also applaud that they let engineers carry both AT and AA launchers, it was incredibly frustrating that it took them this long to do this because it greatly affects vehicle balance when essentially aircraft are totally immune to infantry threat because infantry is forced to prioritise AT launchers.

Infantry movement controls felt good so far, until some seaty exploit is discovered I suppose. I am holding out on this one.

The min max attachments should be removed and recoil increased. If this happens then It's good that they removed random spread.

Major points to improve on is the horrendous UI in game and especially in menus. Class Customise takes so many clicks just to change attachments, and the settings menu is a clusterfuck.

I completely agree. Playing an IFW squad was really fun, even in siege of Cairo. Granted, we play squad and ARMA regularly, so our cohesion was better than with a group of randoms, but it was cool seeing that it actually worked.

I had fun but I'd like some of the weapons to be tweaked a little, as well as the spawns. The maps are a little small and tight for my liking but maybe the other maps will be better.

It remains to be seen how they fare in bigger maps. Usually the bigger maps had always someone camping at the edge of the map with a tank, raining fire down to the capture point. Also tanks seem to have limited shells. The MAA was overly limited to just 2 bursts. This alone should discourage camping.

My biggest concern is how much the vocal minority of ego-tripping vehicle whores who only ever spawn on vehicles will complain about "balance" when they dont get their killstreaks. It's like there are two different design teams fighting over how the game is supposed to work.

The game looks great and I can run it at full HD on a 2070 super, thought I am not sure if the fps is stable I couldn't make sense of those stats and wasn't running it on Steam, just give me an FPS counter.

loading times and the time after the match is fast, faster than CoD where I just change to another screen while waiting.

The movement system is good without being too fast or arcadey like CoD, with the exception of people who exploited it and I hope they fix that.

I like the support class, the way you can move someone out of harm's way BUT sometimes you are too fast, I think they should let you choose, like you wait before reviving someone to get a speed bonus, because sure is nice to revive them almost right away but then I can't actually get them out of danger.

The vehicle's damage seems good enough
Weapons feel nice to use, not sure about the pistol, I liked pistols in BF3 but this one eh..gotta see how the other pistols compare.
Shotguns work very nicely in CQC

My 4 main complaints/worries
1) Maps are Cod-like size, they feel too small
2) Spawn killing, except for people hovering with vehicles at the spawn, so doing it on purpouse in BF3, this shouldn't be a problem, but I had it and seen it, people spawning in front of me or viceversa, this shouldn't happen here
3) Aesthetics, it looks very good but at the same time, boring, I feel like in...10 years a screenshot might get confused with some other shooter.
4) Maps don't feel like they got something distinctive right now, I liked the Bazar in BF3, but outside the mountain one they all blend in together, I don't see a Strike at Karkand or Caspian border and the destruction while it is good, even very good I'd say, I haven't seen anything really exceptional in the way is used.

Kinda disagree, Assaults loadout makes them good for rushing and door kicking. A lot of losses I noticed are due to people being too hesitant to just meatwave into a cap because CoD has fried peoples brains into only caring about K/D.

I find folding Medic into Support to be a good move, BF3/4 was plagued by people only using Assault because they had the "CoD" loadout and nobody revived, essentially gutting a core aspect of BF.

I remember seeing somewhere that these maps were the smallest ones in the game. So there's most likely much larger maps to come in the full release.
