I knew this was a meme 20 years ago when it was still actually a viable choice(yet still a meme).
Just embarassing.
For my part I wasted a few weeks in a community college going for a uh "Networking" something or other, which was something along the lines of the person who makes the 300 electronics in a Best Buy all work together and at once. No fuckin clue what this bullshit would have looked like in practice, it sounded like crap at the time.

If you can't even get an interview I'd start with making sure you don't have a dog shit retard resume (a lot of schools have entire departments dedicated to helping you with this exact thing). It should be catered to any job you apply to and ideally you should actually follow up to show that you're interested in the job.

It's the equivalent of Raytracing / DLSS back in the 10XX or 20XX compared to the sheer wizardry it can do today, it grows exponentially.
AI image generation was mild by the end of 2022 or 2023 I can't remember exactly when, and today there's even AI video generation (and animation of uploaded photos) in seconds easily available to anyone with internet.

You truly don't know what's about to hit when AI gets fully implemented in videogame coding / assets. Neither do I. It might be really good for 2D games, they stopped being made because using 3d assets is the easiest thing, but we might see stuff like pixel sprites Ace Attorney or PokΓ©mon make a comeback if AI makes it easier.

This is absolutely correct. There are too many people going into CS grasping for the promise of economic prosperity, who fundamentally lack the knack it takes to be successful in the field. Put simply, if you don't love the work and you cannot deliver without effort then you lack the knack. If you have to ask where to begin, have to put together a roadmap, have to study for coding exams, then you will never have what it takes.
This is fine though, why would you want to force yourself to do something you hate? Oh yeah, the economic prosperity thing. I've got news there, there're far more effective ways to bring yourself (and your neighbors) economic prosperity than by wasting your time going into a field you have no place being in.

This. I got through my University entrance exam for CS with zero preparation. The entire exam was basically applying the given information with logic to solve the problems. The people who had to study for the exams couldn't keep up during lectures or course work. Some of them managed to graduate but their journey to find jobs didn't go so well. My job is basically just being there in case something goes wrong or we get intruders so 90% of my work is me playing video games and watching random shows or YouTube or shitposting on /v/.
The boss only cares about me not sleeping at work as i am a night shift guy in fact they like the fact i am able to entertain myself so effortlessly at work as most people quit because they are hyper social Normies who cant just entertain themself on a Computer for 8 hours or cant stand working all night wo falling a sleep.

I got a cheap used gaming laptop whit a 1060 in it and i play My backlog of older less demanding older games and Emulate games.
SO i primarily play my backlog at work and i play more demanding current games on my Home gaming PC.
For reference at home i played Spider-man 2 Nioh 2 and Forza Horizon 5 and Elden Ring Night-reign and at work i played Guild wars 2 Dmc Devil May cry Deltatune and FFX HD remaster last month.
