>A better question: why is there a "boring" version in the first place?
The question is facetious; it's boring TO YOU "because it looks like shit" because your dopamine receptors are fried and you need flashing bing bing wahoo lights 24/7.
It's called "Wilds" because it's set in the wilds, and tries to show you a real, living ecosystem. I can tell you have absolutely no outdoor hobbies or experience because that's exactly what happens; the environment changes over time. It's not even the same in each area; it's telling a story about each region. Everything that is alive exists as part of a cycle; I'm sorry you missed that part but you're a part of it too. Even relationships have cycles, not that you're ever experienced one.
>After the story mode, literally why would anyone CHOOSE to play on any of the locales during the Fallow?
What reason is there to specifically be in the Plenty? In fact, which one is it you "like"; is it the exciting Inclemency or the bright and colourful Plenty? I mean you answered your own question; some things change depending on the cycle. Considering they give you the ability to control the cycle you play in, what exactly is your problem with it?
>Inclemencies aren't any better btw. In fact, Scarlet Forest's deep rain is so bad it turns the pretties map in the game into the fugliest one every time it's active.
I mean, how is that NOT interesting? Do you get upset when the sun goes down because it turns your basement from an exciting anime dungeon to a drab incel lair?
You posted an excellent image illustrating the point of the cycle. How cool is it that you can experience the wilds both in a torrential downpour and a lush tropical summer? Why are you arguing for LESS content? If you want the maps to be the same every single time, there are 5 prior generations of that very thing waiting for you.
