It's almost as if the entire main story line was about getting John Wick out of your head.
The game would be even more boring and lonely if you didn't somehow have a companion in some way.
V is alone most of the time, just a pawn to be used by the dukes of Night City. Silverhand's insights into Night City and his attitude towards corporations and life in Night City offer lore and causes the player to actually rethink their actions; Silverhand offers a different perspective in the choices you make.
Silverhand’s worldview is almost always in directly opposite with V’s goals. V often just wants a simple and fast solution to the biochip problem and maybe a path to personal gain, whereas Johnny is thinking in terms of blowing up symbols of corporate oppression. That means every major plot beat becomes a delicate balance between survival and ideology. Even when you agree with him, you’re reminded that your values aren’t the same, and when you disagree, you’re forced to rethink with whether your own path is just another form of submission to the system.
But of course, a retard like couldn't have came up with an insight like this. Go back to playing your silly old non serious games and leave the grown up stories to the adults.

Good game, but it has mane questionable design choices, the biggest probably being:

This makes me feel like a walking camera, that walks and shoots guns. The only way to see how I look like are mirrors and the inventory menu, which is horrible. I also can't see my character's emotions during cutscenes, which makes it more detached.

Such a shame they fumbled the release so horrinly hard, it could've unironically been a game of the decade. Now it's just a good/very good game, only after all the updates.

It's astonishing how bad writing is when compared to Witcher 3. I did replay the latter immediately after Cyberpunk to make sure it wasn't just nostalgia, and it was even better than what I remember, even considering that normally I prefer futuristic settings. The gameplay is fine, but I had to force myself to finish the DLC as at that point I was overpowered and the story is a piece of shit. I wonder if they were shitty writers all along, but managed the Witcher series thanks to having a solid base in the books, or if that's because they hired women and faggots, because I tended to zone out and cringe for the entire game

the combat in this stealth/combat RPG is really bad. between the viewmodel animations being gay and lame and the actual damage you're doing to the targets it feels so amateur.

Let There Be Flight finally got updated after 2 years and there's Drive an Aerial Vehicle which isn't as smooth but it's more immersive because instead of normal cars suddenly flying it makes the existing AV models pilotable.

Also there's Enhanced Air Traffic that spawns more AVs around the city, flying between existing helipads so you're not lonely in the air.

People sometimes compare games to books and despair how narratively deficient games are, but cp is better than most books out there.
Its consistently good and serious about its presentation. Maybe some text heavy vn like disco elysium is better but cp has to be like top 5 best written interactive media out there.

Gunplay feels terrible and so does hacking. Katana + Sandevistan is literally the only fun build but even then it gets boring quickly because ever fight plays out the same

The story carried it for me during the first playthrough, but ive never been able to replay it without getring bored after the first few hours

I was about to refund it for this exact reasons. But I still had 30 minutes before the 2 hour refund mark, so I said "fuck it I'm just gonna ignore the main quest and explore for 25 minutes then refund it". And then I realized it was a good game.

The intro has good intentions but it's waaaay too hand-holdy and cutscene heavy. It doesn't show the player what the game has to offer.
