a place where a bullfango pesters you instead of the creature trying to eat it, while a monster does a charge with no tell and a hitbox that starts before the animation happens that knocks you into a loading zone? thankfully there is nothing so poorly crafted in the new games.

Scarlet Forest during Plenty (RTX5080, 11th gen i7 minimum)
Genuinely my favorite map in the series. I'd live there and marry into a Wudwud tribe if tropical diseases and monsters wouldn't kill me.

I've been taking my time exploring the maps on foot and catching endemic life and stuff, just so I can learn the layouts better, and man I love scarlet forest. Such a beautiful map.

I know it is not by no means close at all but since... they are both forests... I would like to think that capcum took it to heart when people have complained about the Ancient Forest.
I actually kind of liked how mazey it could get.
