holy shit, the finals has to have the most unappealing visual design i have seen in a long time. even concord had more visual appeal than this.

the team names: the steam rollers, the high notes, the big splash, the mighty.
who came up with this shit? i cringe every time. and then everything tries to be the "apple" of shooters. the AI voice announcements are so bad, their play on words is just not funny and completely inauthentic. it doesnt add anything to the game. and the gameplay itself is just apex legends but if every round was a clutch situation. do you like getting shot at from 2 different teams from 2 completely different directions? because that's happening all the time. do you like getting rushed by 3 tiny people with knives? because apparently that beats most weapons. super annoying gameplay loop with people constantly leaving if they dont win but then also the SBMM is complete ass.

probably longer duration. like with particle filters you cant get more fine than ffp3 rating, as it will already catch all of the possible particles. now i am not entirely sure how ABEK filters work, but usually would use ABEK together with ffp3, at least in daily use. not sure as far as military application is concerned. i do work with chemicals so i use a half mask with ABEK and ffp3 filters. an

the whole supply chain system HLL tried to copy from squad is done in such an half assed way, the game would benefit from not having it at all. it's just a chore, same with leveling up anything. the amount it takes to unlock anything in game is way too long. maybe i am getting old but i dont see an appeal anymore in having to grind for basic gear so i can actually stand a chance against people who already have fully functioning equipment.

just do what your squad leader says. they are different objectives to hold and capture. and to do that you need to briing building materials and ammo there. with building materials you can build stuff like barricades or mortars. and ammo is for all the infantry to use.

communication is key. figure out what the enemy team looks like, sometimes check your map before you shoot. generally keep checking your map to see what's going on. markers can only be placed by squad leaders and fire team leaders. different roles play differently. e.g. the automatic gunner can shoot fully automatic over long distances, the rifle man is mostly shooting semi auto over shorter distances. kills dont matter as much, just help your team. communicate what you see. it's not that hard.

i dont think people are getting banned this easily. and calling gameplay or teamplay "chores" is just wrong. the game is intended to be played in a certain way. if you want to win there are certain things to do and one those things is coordinating the different squads of one team, hence you have squad leaders. SLs play quite differently than regular infantry.

if you play squad with the same mindset as any other shooter then you are doing it wrong. squad doesnt even show you your K/D until the end of a round because everything else is more important. you help your team to win, you dont necessarily do that through kills. that doesnt mean that you wont see any action. much the opposite. i find the action in squad much more intense than in other games, because there is actual danger involved in firefights and deaths arent meaningless.

Everyone big went really hard on the gimmick of the month gametypes without realizing that only one or two games can actually succeed at that, and it's usually whoever did it first.

Just an endless horde of dead on arrival extraction hero class role 6v6 exports slop. Dunno. I just want a big map and a bunch of stuff on it and to fight until I get bored and quit.

I will never ever communicate with my team mates. Stop making games that want me to talk with a new set of random strangers every ten minutes. They're all foreigners and ten year olds.

While I'm at it the increase in cheating has basically turbo-nuked the legitimacy of any "serious" game and crippled anything reliant on matchmaking. Would've been fine if we still had servers, wuh oh.

Ranked in most games doesn't have that problem, just the casual mode but I think the intention is still the same. It still makes no sense to me, why would I ever want to keep playing when I'm either stomping or getting stomped with rarely a balanced match?
