aside from that I've been making my way though my 4th Rogue Trader run since newest DLC dropped. Looking forward to Dark Heresy, its one of my favorite ttrpg systems aside from Delta Green (no video game adaptation ever)

PC, been playing modded Command and Conquer Generals, I love games that still understood that games are supposed to be fun and not agenda-driven or hyper-competitive, CnC:G is a game where the baddies are literally just the arabs and they talk in comical arab accents, and the USA is a comical exaggeration of elitism and heroism, it's based as fuck

Abiotic Factor, enjoyed it a lot. Also been playing Warhammer 3 again along with Rimworld since we got the new expansion. Not really seeing anything on the immediate horizon I'm excited about and only play PC.

Elden Ring. My only Souls game before that was Dark Souls which I've played last year.

The game itself isn't really that hard, but I'm currently at Malenia. I don't use summons or ashes or any cheese, just bonking her with my iron cleaver +25. I've reached her second phase like three times, but I can see it's going to be a long ride before I actually beat her. That being said, grinding a boss for hours on end isn't very satysfying, that 30 second high just isn't worth it.

The exploration and getting new tools is very fun, but you have the right impression. The combat isn't all that satisfying if you play it straight simply because it can tend to boil down to just spamming dodge roll endlessly, and I mostly was kept interested by trying out lots of different weapon and item strategies. Some of the dungeon designs are the best fromsoft has ever put out.

Cheeze wiz doesn't taste half bad and doesn't even need to be refrigerated like french dip or ranch or something so you can just spray it onto broccoli/cauliflower (rip carrots) or a cracker with spam and a slice of fruit.
