>What are you currently playing?
Dailies for the relic grind and wrapping up weekly stuff in FFXIV.

Depending on what frens are doing afterwards, I may try to do some raiding or go back to working through Alan Wake's DLC and then American Nightmare. Abd MTG Arena here and there.

>Any upcoming games that you're excited for?
Silent Hill F looks interesting enough and FF Tactics remaster, but I'm trying to avoid buying too many new games since my backlog is huge.

>Does anyone else feel this way?
I stopped caring about what everyone else likes and plays years ago. Now I only play what I like regardless if it's cool or cringe, and I'm content with gaming.

>been practicing wood carving a lot the last year
Based. That sounds like a nice hobby. Do you paint anything you carve or keep it natural?

>going back to school at 30+
Good luck, fren! I was 31 when I went back and got my bachelor's last year. I've been considering going for a masters, but life's taking a semi-weird turn. So I'm going to hold off for now.

>Do you guys know of any fun civlization builders?
City Skylines is good. Banished is comfy. So is Manor Lords if you're okay with it being in Early Access. Factorio or Rimworld if you want more of a colony builder that also brings on some challenges.

I recently hooked up my PS2 to play horror games on next month. I get where you're coming from. Having a Steam Deck or playing something with a controller vs. mouse/KB has helped a bit.

My garden got fucked by the summer heat again. I need to do more research and maybe test my soil too. I want a so-so harvest at least once.

I know that feel but it was on various vegetable plants. It hurts because everything started so well and then overnight, it was like it all died.

>What have you been playing?
Mostly FFXIV and bouncing between MTG Arena, TCG Shop Simulator, and Monster Sanctuary

Been having a lot of trouble focusing and sticking anything recently. Lot of brain fog and restlessness. Not sure if it's age, stress from work/life, lack of sleep, or a combo of all the above. Slept a lot this weekend. One on hand, feels like I've wasted my freetime but on the other, hoping it makes me feel better

>Any games you are looking forward to?
Excited for a weekend of pizza and NA beer while going through Gears of War Reload with a bro

>Have you ever replayed a game from your childhood and found it was either better or worse than you remembered?
Haven't played an old childhood fav in awhile. But I recently cleaned up and hooked up my PS2 to replay my fav survival horror games in October

>What have you been playing?
Mostly FFXIV and MTG Arena. Might check out the talismans they've added to Wilds but it sounds like a pointless RNG grind for the sake of giving players something to do. So eh?

Wish I had the motivation to pick a game from my backlog and stick with it

>Any recent or future releases worth keeping an eye on?
Recent releases? Gonna have fun with Gears of War Reload

Future releases? Haunted Chocolatier is the only thing coming to mind

>Do you game on consoles or PC?
PC

I've found myself snagging games I already have on Steam/GOG sales or in Humble Bundles. I've become lazy and like the convivence of loading everything from my PC instead of having to hook up a console and download a bunch of updates every time I want to play something

>What have you been playing?
Mostly FFXIV since the new patch dropped. A bit of MTG Arena here and there

>Has any recent release caught your attention?
The Castle Crasher DLC looks fun and looking forward to replaying Gears of War in a couple weeks

Whatcha doing in FFXIV?

>>717754908
Sounds comfy, fren. Whatcha get from Buccee's?

>>717757584
Minecraft with a bunch of mods

Are you into any other hobbies? I recently started going to a local card shop for Magic drafts since getting back into it which has been nice. Or start playing a MMO and join a guild. These are all decent ways to break the ice because everyone shares one common interest

>>717758628
>do you still care about AAA games?
Not really but I honestly don't keep up with vidya news or new released that much anymore. My backlog is fucking gigantic so I've been trying to not buy so much new stuff. And if I do, I've had more fun picking up something blind with no knowledge of what it is other than the description

>multiplayer games?
Stopped caring about completive games a long time ago. I mostly stick to playing stuff with frens only

>>717758859
Based. I assume you flip it after you refurbish it? You ever move into one and keep it after you fix it up?

>What have you played this weekend?
Took a small break from playing vidya for the weekend.

I checked out a couple local card shops since I've gotten back into MTG and went to a retro game store. Snagged a copy of Muramasa on the Wii and replaced my copy of Indigo Prophecy because I don't know what happened to it.

Did some cleaning and then spent Sunday building a Lego set. It's was kinda nice not spending the weekend at my desk.

>What are you looking forward to?
Gears of War Reload and MGS Delta. Probably check out Silent Hill F.

Mostly looking forward to spooky season to go through a bunch of old survival horror games since I got my PS2 set back up.

>How's life?
Not geat but no terrible but could be terrible at any moment. Also been having a really hard time fighting anxiety and just relaxing lately.

>Have you ever played a game from your childhood / teenage years and found out it was as good as you remembered?
Picked up the Monster Rancher bundle on Switch sometime ago. Monster Rancher 2 was one of my favorite games. Even though there isn't the magic of trying every CD in the house to summon a monster, I had a lot of fun with it.
