Has any recent release caught your attention?

Currently trying my hand at counter strike 2, not too many cheaters in Ranked yet but apparently in casual there's lots of people using discord to give people's locations. It is a little retarded that valve allows dead players spectate the matches and see where everyone on the other team is trough walls.

I was also hoping Mafia: The old Country wouldn't be so bad but I guess I was hoping for a little too much

I'm giving road trip adventure a go because I missed out on it back in the day.

I've played some dungeon crawlers this week: I began Dungeon Travelers 2, and I started and completed Legends of Amberland 1. I picked up The Slormancer again and have been leveling the Mage character. I started Age of Conan with the /vm/ MMO group but it's not the best video game community if you're actually 30+.

I've mostly been playing the BF6 beta and having a pretty good time with it.

Definitely makes a better first impression than BFV or BF2042 so I'm looking forward to the full game. Maps seem kind of small though in Conquest. I'm pretty sure the devs designed things specifically to avoid the situation of bad players complaining about dying constantly and having to run to the nearest objective just do die immediately and start over again.

Today I bought this. Haven't touched a Legacy of Kain game since 2007.

I hit 30 last year and I've been playing Paradox grand strategy games lately like CK2 and EU4. Something about my mind responds more to games that are equivalent to writing spreadsheets now. Compared to games where I need to be quick, reactive, and ready to deal with an issue immediately or lose like counterstrike or Rainbow Six Siege. I feel like single player is the only thing I like now, plus my Internet kinda sucks during peak gaming hours.

Death stranding and then it's sequel on release have eaten a lot of my recent time. Amazing games that literally made me learn gaming patience at least a little bit. Diablo 4 was free on ps+ so my roommates have been playing that with me. And the new fortnite season.

I'm going through RGG: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii and it's fine. It's only got like 4 chapters compared to the other games in the series having like 10-15 chapters, but chapter 2 so far is pretty long if you ignore the substories. It's still shorter than the other entries, but a pretty good length.

Story is kind of bad/nonsense, but still putting a smile on my face because I just turn my mind off and have a Yakuza 4: Black Flag clone.

I do wish Majima would get a serious game a la his part in 0 again. He can't be the "Mad Dog of Shimano" 24/7, after all. Especially after the Great Dissolution and him holing up to cornhole Daigo with Saejima in the north during 8.

Not really. You just stick with a handful of series you're already familiar with. It's like going to a restaurant and only ordering something you know you'll like because you've had it before. The older you get, the lass patience you have for novelty.

BF6 is a mixed bag. My old eyes cant see anyone. Fucking zoomers laser me from across the map. Even when I see someone there a decent chance I just straight up miss them. Trying the DMR when I should just be using an ar or smg, so some of this is self-inflicted.

The game itself is solid. It seems like a no bullshit just honest to god well made modern shooter. The map destruction is well done. Saying fuck you and blowing up some faggot’s cover is great, and Ive seen multiple times where an entire street gets shredded by tanks/rpgs going everywhere. If they add bigger maps and generally more bullshit I’m at the point where I think i’ll get it, which I cant believe im saying.

There's Elona if you dont mind anime stuff. It's a roguelike sandbox and has loads of farming, crafting, breeding, base building, gambling etc.

I enjoyed DCSS, IVAN, ADOM and ToME as far as roguelikes are concerned.

Fear and Hunger series could be seen as a survival roguelike to some degree.

Dune Awakening is a good survival crafter, especially if you have a friend or sibling to play with.

Kenshi is a great sandbox game with a unique setting.

Been trying to build a collection of S&Ss for elemental weaknesses, but I wanna give hammer another try, it was my main in World and Rise. I've also had a really weird glitch or whatever where halfway through playing for a bit, my whole PC will freeze and make a really loud buzzing noise through my speakers, and it only ever happens with MH Wilds. No bluescreen, just stops on whatever frame the game was on. Otherwise I've been replaying Psychonauts to prepare for Psychonauts 2 now that I can run it.

Mid-range is everything optimized. At 1440p. If you have to go below recommended settings that's a low-range PC. You don't really need a strong or even functional PC to play 95% of games. It gets a lot of indies and things so it depends on what you want to do. The nice thing about PC is that you can incrementally upgrade. Like get a PC with a 2060s and a 7600 and swap to a better GPU later, that 7600 will still be good.

I have aetna, its terrible. But if I'm sick they have to pay for it, thats how it werks. Even for really expensive meds you just need prior authorization from a specialist, I'm on an experimental type of proton pump inhibitor that costs like one grand a script and I only play $10 for it. Worst thing you can do in the US is knock your teeth out or something like that, nothing like that is covered by any insurance.

Been having trouble since last year playing videogames, it feels like I have to push myself to play them and can't enjoy them and stop playing after 5 minutes.

Then these last 2 weeks I put around 40 hours into MGS5.
I am greatly enjoying it, I saw for years people bitching that the open world map didn't allow for good design to flourish here on /v/, but I have been having a lot of fun, the nature of the game allows me to choose whether to go lethal or not without feeling guilty about it like in the past MGS.
It has a surprising amount of leeway too and there is a lot to do but you are eased into it so it doesn't feel overwhelming once all the systems connect.

I never put so many hours into something I would not recommend, funny thing I ended up buying (for cheap) the gold edition and then for 2 months the game didn't even work until a big update came and then for another month the game wouldn't recognize I had bought the DLC, if this had happened to a bigger title they would have fixed that shit within the week, but oh well.....seeing people excusing it saying that PD2 was also missing shit at launch, like is okay for a sequel to launch with many step backs like that.
I enjoyed the BF6 beta more than I thought I would, however the maps are just okay, nothing really memorable and their small size created many instance of spawn camping that I don't remember happening in the past titles (but I haven't played BF1 nor BF5).
