You can't grind in the Wizardry games thay are actually good (the Bradley ones) since experience occurs on a curve and you can't really surpass a certain level threshold. Gameplay boils down to risk management, efficient battling/leveling, and navigating the maze well, which just means less resting and as a result less tedium and random encounters.
