Yes, it came out first. The anime adapts the true route, the other girls have routes in the VN. The anime tones down the scientific stuff a lot, and it's mostly focused on character interactions and stuff, while the VN dives deep into time travel theories and stuff like that.

Tried Mary Skelter on the suggestion of an anon because it was ecchi and I had never tried a dungeon crawler.

At the risk of sounding like a total scrub, they're just too hard. Most of the charts add way too many notes in songs that aren't high BPM and it makes it sound like you're playing music that isn't there.

I second DanKagu, it was my favorite mobile game before it was EoS'd. My only complains with the PC version is that they went overboard with the Lunatic charts and there's no Extra difficulty between Hard and Lunatic like how the original had them, so many songs end with huge jumps in difficulty. Outside of that, the soundtrack is really good. As an extra tip, you can also change the game screen to look like how the mobile game used to look.

First, always use the latest GE-Proton, this gets videos to play and may help other compatibility issues. If it still gives you issues, install LAV codec with protontricks. Last is super edge case scenario and mainly for literally who rpg maker games, you may need to start the game with japanese launch options in properties and directly install japanese windows fonts in the game's prefix. This last one used to be the norm in the past but proton has come such a long way that the first option is all you need now.

Chronicles does have the old maps, get the $20 Zombies Chronicles version IMO because that + Mods will keep you having plenty of content to get through.
Der Eisendrache or however you spell it is one of the best maps ever (It is condensed Origins) and Gorod + Revelations are also good, Zestubo is hit or miss.
If you run out of content then get the season pass on a future sale, but you have a bunch of really good mods to get through as well as chronicles. The only BO1 and BO2 maps that aren't currently officially released or released through a very high quality fanmade mod are Transit and Buried, and both have people making ones for them.
The new MOBT remaster mod is great, and honestly my favorite mods are ones that just let me use BO1 and/or WaW guns on Chronicles maps instead of Bo3 guns

The base campaign that comes with the game is America vs nazi Germany with multiple routes and you can liberate Poland from Russia as a secret final boss if you play your cards right. It's a pretty famous entry point into PC wargames, a genre /v/ refuses to touch. If you like it there's roughly 300 hours of additional campaigns.

The "DLCs" are expansion packs, basically entirelt new games. There's a reason CroTeam is involved, they wouldn't allow stuff like that. You'll get more than your fill with the base campaign, it's very long and difficult. But this is pretty typical of wargames anyways, there's either DLC or they cost twice as much as usual games because they are for very serious enthusiasts.

SF6 is the game with the most players but it is in no fucking way the only alive fighting game. Tekken 8, Strive and Granblue (in that order) have more than enough players to allow you to find matches regularly and without joining any Discord or whatever.
If you opt for Fightcade instead, do it because you think older fighting games are better (they are) not because modern fighters besides Street Fighter are "dead"
