If it was $30 I think people would be more forgiving but that much money for a game that can't be played online and which has nothing to do offline without a friend can't cut it in the current landscape of fighting games.

Food for thought, they were initially not even going to attempt rollback netcode and use 2008-tier delay netcode. They delayed the game to improve the netcode to its current, still shockingly bad state.

Bamco makes better games but the issue is that unless you're an original IP of theirs they give you the funding of a box of crayons and chewed up gum. Anime games have like no budget outside of Gundam and even Gundam clearly just has barely more money in it than something like One Piece for example. While those arcs follow some of the formula, none of them match the whole pattern.
Nami had near-zero presence in Dressrosa, and while she got in a conflict with Giolla, she was utterly helpless and Brook was the one who defeated her. The female enemy aspect of the pattern dies there. Straw Hats also did not get silenced by the "Residential Girl" (Rebecca) either. And even if you substitute Robin in for Nami, she dealt with Diamante. Pica was also definitely not the second in command, as that was Trebol. And while not mentioning Zoro's opponents tend to use swords, Pica's not even a swordsman either.
There were no female enemies among the New Fishman Pirates. I think Nami needed Franky's help to deal with Ikaros Much.
There were no female enemies among God's Army. Nami dealt with Hotori and Kotori.
There was genuinely just Bellamy as an enemy on Jaya.
