I might even understand the insult "PC Vegan" if you were the type of person who only games on PC, and literally nothing else. Sure, you can call those guys PC Vegans and its at least mildly funny due to their strict insistence on being PC only. But I explicitly stated that I also have a Switch 2, and am thus a PC + Nintenbro. I am not strictly supporting either platform, I just cannot actually view Sonygs or Xjeets as human any more.

But even if it was a PC only guy... it still doesn't really make sense as an insult. A PC gamer is like the inverse of a Vegan: Vegans are defined by their insistence on eating extremely strict diets and no animal byproducts. They are defined by a lack of eating things. A PC Gamer on the other hand is defined as "person who can play basically whatever the fuck they want". If anything PC gamers are the omnivores of gaming: they emulate whatever they want, Microsoft and Sony are both porting their games to PC and they could even just pirate those games if they want.

Basically this guy is calling people "vegans" a a form of projection based on the fact that he internally realizes PC gamers get to consume whatever the fuck they want, and he doesn't.

Thing is I know these temporary exclusivity deals is just console makers trying to incentivize me buying a console but who the fuck buys a console for a handful of games when they already have a PC, which is another reason, I dont need to replace my PC as often as these companies push out new console gens. Also pc gaming lets me try a game out before I spend money on it so if devs want my money a pc port is a bare minimum requirement

About time, I've been against exclusives for well over a decade and now it's finally happening.
Consoles should be build by third party manufacturers, much like DvD/blueray players except they might come in different tiers like high-end, midrange and low-end. Let the vidya flow like water, this is absolute freedom for the consumer.

I never really got why it has taken so long to get to this point. I get in the past that consoles were quite distinct hardware wise so it makes sense that people would make exclusives but nowadays consoles are all just different shades of mid tier PCs so who cares if PlayStation or Xbox or Nintendo step away from iterative hardware releases.
