I havent played dota2 seriously in years due to this. Climbed to immortal 7k mmr and Just cant do it anymore. Every match is 5 minutes of fun and 30-55 minutes of self torture.

What I really like about fighting game cheaters is that you can outplay them anyway. Like if they have a script that auto-DIs when you DI or do a certain move, you can trigger their script by just jumping and inputting whatever triggers it. In high level CS it's the opposite where the base skill level is so high that people psych themselves into thinking that no one cheats unless they're blatant.
So you've got dude running subtle wallhack or very small aim assists that go undetected for years. They're usually not even at the top of the scoreboard or anything just middle of the road for high rank brackets.
I ran my account through some service to scan all my matches at some point and there was like a 3% cheater caught rate at high level (top 2%) and they all were people i'd never suspected were cheating since they were so mid all game.

It's only a technique in games with medium or low-TTK like battlefield and cod. The spray and recoil control of the actual weapons is not difficult to master so you blast the first dude but during all that time you scan for other dudes in your peripheral vision and flick as soon as the first one dies.
It's not extremely useful since if you can get away with it usually it means the people you're shooting against are much worse than you but it looks cool in clips. To someone that's not very good at fps it looks very impressive.

There's also different kind of flicks like in counter strike where you always have your crosshair at common spots where 90% of the enemies you'll face will show up, but sometimes you get caught off guard and do a really quick ass flick shot on the other side of the screen and get a headshot.

I remember decades ago going to a LAN gaming café (or whatever it's called) and even there was a cheater playing Counterstrike with everyone mass killing us all. This is in Australia too by the way. Honestly, I think there's always been tonns of cheaters, but it's just become worse and worse to the point I don't even find multiplayer shooters fun anymore. realistically that's not how it looks like because humans are not machines and even those who are very good at flicks will often get really close to their target and then need some micro adjustments to center on the target, something that is completely absent from the "gameplays" shown in this thread
