Mods ruin the experience. I hate the fact that they forced the CC content on me. Whenever I find one of those stupid varla stones I discard it. The game has enough content as it is and mods always feel like they don't fit with the original vision, even the "canon" CC mods. Vanilla Special Edition on Legendary difficulty, no survival, and no glitches. That's the only true way to play Skyrim.

That's why sex mods are only worth it when you've got a dedicated mechanics autist working on it. You don't understand how DLCs work, so I'll educate you. The DLC was being worked on before the base game released, and they could've included it in the base game, but they made it DLC so they could make more money. So yeah, it fits.

But we know that to be straight up false, with a bunch of elements being repurposed out of a Game Jam Bethesda made internally. Rieklings are recolored goblins, and even the Vampire Lord power was created for it, not an expansion. In fact, the DLCs being worked on after the fact is why they're often so disconnected from the base game's narrative, like Bloodmoon or Shivering Isles or Dawnguard just appearing outta nowhere. A couple of years ago, I tried to install niche sex mods for skyrim VR, but everything on loverslab had like 5 different dependencies and downloading every mod was just a shopping list of what other mods I need to get and those often also had dependencies. the second two are enchanting based to give you an edge or just flat out OP
the last one removes MOST perks with ranks and shit like novice/apprentice/etc and you get cost reduction based on your skill

now, you can break the game if you want, or you can make do with less-than-grand souls on everything

I think it's more important to give skyrim a pleasing, aesthetic than to try and make it look realistic. I mod my game to make it look like an anime, which makes me happy, even though it's clearly lacking in the graphical fidelity department.

It's not too hard if you know the file structure and can read scripts, its lots of unpacking and repacking files, but yeah it is just text editing. Editing the map for example is way harder. Skyrim and fallout in comparison have it easier because the tools are simple to work with. xedit highlights everything for you and creation kit gives you a 3d view of the world like if you were in game.

you could easily make one yourself in bodyslide and I know for a fact there are milf/chubby presets for those mods because I use them, although they may not be exactly what you're looking for

meh, skyrim is too unoptimized and every few years mod authors get extra ambitious with flora and texture overhauls and ENB. I can't run most packs at a steady 60 without dlss/framegen mods which make it look too bad. when I upgrade I'll mod it again

Fallout 4 has quite a lot of interesting places and mods fix many flaws such as terrible armour and weapon designs.
Even crappy housing has its charm. People usually remember that diner with a skeleton in the middle of the room but I always remember that small, cosy house nearby full of cats.
Imo this junk asthetics totally works when you have a big settlement full of people with mods like SS2 and other stuff. But I completely understand why someone might not like it or Fallout 4 in general. None of Bethesda's games feel like a real Fallout and that's okay. Even I treat Fallout 4 more like a spin-off (Fallout 3 and 76 still suck). Like Fallout Tactics

I made a Breton PC, installed that mod that makes women looks really buff depending on their Weight scale, and got a bunch of Orsimer followers (and Lydia and Uthgred) as followers, Borgakh was the only one I married though because I developed a crush on her from all the pelvis crushing she gave me. Anyways I had to go out of my way to stop playing this game, it was really fun at first because I made a very fine tuned (to my tastes) mod list, the early game was pretty fun, but once I reached a certain level the game starts showing its cracks, none of the big rebalance mods (MorrowlootU, OWL, Unleveled etc) can really truly fix the way this game is structured, and doing a long playthrough just shows all the problems with the limited routines, quest lines, and dialogue options of NPCs, so I just ended up cranking my hog to Borgakh and Valerica (god bless that guy who made the dialogue mods for them and Lydia and Norris), and that was becoming a real problem. I had well over 15GB of screenshots of my followers getting facials.
