Tens of millions of people can instantly recognize almost any Ocarina of Time track after a few bars are played, and can hum and whistle the tune from memory. That's the power of strong melody. It’s hard to pick individual tracks, I would just rate entire soundtracks instead. For example, I would put Cuphead on the short list for best game soundtracks of 2017, easy. Same with Pizza Tower for 2023. For 1995, Chrono Trigger, of course. For 1986, Castlevania and Metroid, along with Out Run, and Gradius. I could go on.
