You'd think George would be a lot more careful reviewing EU material before publication, especially since Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith were already in the planning stages by that point.

Guy was a massive sperg who spent all his time reading through spreadsheets and consistently failed to factor in the human element. Hence why he believed that North Vietnam would cave in with relative ease. He looked at it as a mathematical equation and didn't understand that the North Vietnamese saw this as a struggle for their very national existence.
