Island Sanctuary's biggest issue for me is that it just felt too arbitrarily slow until you automated it, then it was pointless to go out and do gathering circuits. You only ever got a 1x of maybe two different items from a gather point and the way the game handles gather points refreshing was AIDs. To compare it to OSRS it'd be like if you were gathering ore from the mining area outside of Varrock but the ore didn't refresh until you went and gathered a bunch of oak logs. So once you gather all the items you do want you'd just have to fuck off for like 5 minutes instead of it just refreshing within the little cluster you're working with. What if I just want to stand there and autistically gather rock salt for an hour? Not to mention some nodes were really spaced apart for no reason. I don't know, I just use act and noclippy personally. I raidlead a lot though so I recognize the patterns. Cactbot players are always late to react and they never preposition. It's kinda like drunk driving, they have no situational awareness because thet rely on an app that feeds them directions too late, and said directions are also too specific.

Good mods always focus on improving the situational awareness of the player, because that's where "skill" in raiding is. A whisper in your ear that you should go left in 5 seconds isn't as useful as a whisper in your ear that the next mech either resolves east/west or north/south, and as m1 you want to think about your spread/stack spot in the west or north cardinal.

The latter mentally "primes" you of what is going to happen next and lets you plan out your actions in advance even if it doesn't hand you the "answer" for the final resolution of the mech.

Usually you wipe because people were to slow or because they were spatially lost. Cactbot helps with neither.
