I have played literally every mainline Battlefield but I have never played any of the campaigns.

I think the 2 city maps played well enough but the art is kind of uninspired. They really lack distinct sections/landmarks. When i think of caspian or arras all or most cap points were a „place“ like a church, gas station, border, farm house, cinema aso. In 6 its just some random spot or encampment on the map most of the time. I really likes what i played but it did feel kinda soulless in that regard.

The maps worked so well in both conquest AND rush. Even old maps like the Strike at Karkand DLC worked surprisingly well in Rush

I really believe they should be medic. I think its best to have them have subclass be medic vs. assault. Medic obviously gets medic bag + defib. Whereas assault gets Grenade launcher or shotgun and extra grenades.

Im of the opinion that If you want to play as the support of the team that guy should have all the support tools, so you are more likely to do your role. If you want to play as a general all around fighter thats assault, give them stuff like grenade launcher attatchments, faster weapons swapping and even faster movement speed, so if you pick them you are focused on fighting. If you want to revolve around vehicles thats engineer, if you pick them everything you are doing is about vehicles, if you want to revolve around spotting thats recon.

I actually like how it is, HOWEVER, it seems there will be more "traits" in the full game. Like there is most likely going to be support trait that doesnt focus on the LMG, so it actually can play more like the assault in BFBC2, where you have paddles and use ARs. Maybe, the traits thing seems to at least suggest this. Like there may well be a recon trait that actually lets them focus on something that isnt sniper rifles so they can be useful by getting into the fight.

I know this will never happen, but I really miss the old BF days where there wasn't too much customization. Nowadays it feels like its more about the meta of what you equip your gun and vehicles with as opposed to just playing your role and working as a team.

I REALLY enjoyed how BC2 did it. There was a strong incentive NOT to add an acog or red dot to your gun and just use iron sights. Same with vehicles. The upgrade you choose for you vehicle was how YOU played it. BF4 ruined it by making it mandatory to have sabot + active protection.

Well this is exactly the point, I bf6 there is literally 0 skill requisite to flying a plane, or being a good tanker, or sniping well or doing literally anything. You are just as good the first time you play it as the last because it's designed for the utter most dribbling spastic. There is no meaningful expression of your ability which completely defeats the point of competition. In fact it's barely interactive. How you play it and your actions will have 99% the same effect as literally anyone else. You might as well be a bot playing against other boys.

This is the most "I haven't played the game" post of all posts. No, retard mcdadgamer is not as good of a heli pilot as someone with even 50-100 hours in any battlefield game. There's still plenty of room to be better at the game than other people. Sniping is the other big one. Yeah, if you're ALREADY GOOD AT SHOOTERS then no shit sniping isn't that hard but if you are pretty mid then you're gonna struggle (like me). But the good part ABOUT battlefield is that you don't have to be a poopsocking sweatlord to enjoy the game. You can be an engineer and throw damage at vehicles while babysitting a tank. You can be a medic and focus on revives. You can be an assault and just aim your bullet hose and hope a dude dies.

Rush is kinda hard to quantify, it reads well on paper and you can have some real hero moments if you are not a pussy but it devolves into standing around doing fuck all or a never ending stream of lemmings pretty often just to unlock the next set of objectives. Breakthrough is just a defused variant of that which keeps the simplicity of going one direction only but adds more bodies to make it feel epic but safer for the casual audience. I would probably prefer BT with randoms and especially on the non-dedicated rush maps beyond BF3. Breakthrough is just to simple to enjoy for a long time imo. but i have to admit its a good fit for BF which is a series about having fun while blowing shit up no matter how hard i sweat it sometimes. It could be way cooler if they stuck to having it in a series of maps like in BF1 and giving it some lore/context, i really liked that approach.

Rush mode is GOAT and I believe the definitive game mode of BF. It actually forces the team to play the objective and actually work together. I blew up a lot of tanks because I was in one a lot of the time, but also I play with a few friends who are also engineers most of the time, so when we target tanks they usually die pretty quickly. The maps in the beta also make it pretty difficult to avoid getting flanked, and an RPG to the back of a tank does massive damage.

C4 does no damage because the blast radius on everything has been super nerfed into the ground so you can't take advantage of their complete dogshit map design to AOE everyone in one of the 78 corridors. You can easily kill tanks with C4 if you stick them directly or basically touch them with it. But it won't do fucking anything if it's more than an arm's reach away.
