Why would you use AirPods? They have massive latency like 100-200ms because they're meant to listen to music not play video games. You can hear the delay in casual gaming let alone in competitive. Human brain processes audio cues faster than visual cues and you react to sound a tenth of a second faster so this is one of the things that isn't snake oil and wired audio actually has competitive advantage. It's not like wireless mice where the difference is maybe 1-2ms because wireless audio requires far more bandwidth and bluetooth is a protocol that is garbage in terms of latency, on purpose since it's a low power technology.
