It's good, but has problems.
MP regeneration is dog shit, with the only early strategy being to switch the MC to mage to gain 1 MP per character for each attack made on an enemy in the over world.
Some of the higher tier class requirements don't make sense, like Royal Assassin has a bunch of high tier prerequisites, way more than any other (except the MC but that doesn't really count).
The major plot twist is spoiled by any later game footage of the main character.
Traveling is sometimes really lame, like to the dragon tower you have an earlier quest to go to that days several game days to travel to, only to find out you need to go there again later and finish off the tower to fight the dragon on top for amazing gear, once again having to make that multi-day trip.
The last character to join your party comes so late they get no development.
They also set up the magic school to be a cool place, then you just have a fight outside of it without ever going inside in the last act.
