Actually, it's a quicksilver piece of ore in that quest. Which makes even *less* sense as it's neither iron nor ebony. It's like someone fucked up every step of the way to try and make it as confusing as possible.
Still, Arthmoor's excuse about "muh guide" doesn't work when Skyrim's Official Guide did in fact refer to the mine as an ebony one. And even if he wasn't convinced by it, ESO doubled down in making it ebony and the neighboring mine iron. Plus the whole "mine is located in Shor's Stone and Shor's (aka Lorkhan's) blood is ebony" thing.

Nta but I've recently played through the Arquebus Creation for free of course. The pros are that the dungeon is surprisingly well done and somewhat long. I really liked it, and the unique rewards go beyond the one weapon, which looks lore-friendly enough and has a good use to give lategame characters as a replacement for the crossbow without it feeling too overpowered or like it doesn't fit TES. The cons are that the mod author is an ESL and it shows because every single note in the game has either grammatical or lore errors (some dude talking about the "Mages College" in Cyrodiil when it hasn't existed since the Oblivion Crisis, it's be either the Synod or the College of Whispers).

Arthmoor sees himself as above the modding community and as a secondary developer of TES games. Apollowdown actually makes fun mods and isn't deluded that he is some sorta secondary developer whose own work is above modding (for a game that banks on modding for its own success). He's also a true believer and one of the first "Forever Free" members during the first paid mod shitstorm. Apollowdown may be a libshit retard but he has talent, integrity and redeemable characteristics.

This is blatantly a lie. Their patch is considered desirable but they stopped because they hate Starfield as a game. Arthmoor probably doesn't play any of the games he mods besides Skyrim and Oblivion (might play neither nowadays) he and his team just like having clout for being the bug fix team. Other prominent mod makers such as the author of xedit also completely gave up on Starfield. They also got banned from the Starfield Discord when they aired concerns and tried to provide feedback on how to make Starfield better/easier to mod.
