Half-Life
Metal Gear Solid although the 3D graphics are inconsequential to its gameplay design
It's hard to believe but only a month later, Sonic Adventure came out in Japan

Team Fortress 2 comes to mind, but not really in the same way. Like the core game, no hats, no non-stock weapons, etc. is fucking timeless. It's the fact that over time the game has been worn down by shit nerfs, ugly hats, blinding unusual effects, etc. etc. It might as well not even be the same fucking game anymore.

Conker's Bad Fur Day. The game's humor is the only thing it has going for it and when it all boils down to "What if cartoon characters were swearing and did drugs" then it's easy to see why it felt hilarious in 2001, especially if you were a kid, but nowadays it feels like everyone is doing that so there's no novelty to it anymore.

Oh yeah also L4D1. I'm inclined to believe that game was just a tech demo for the real game (L4D2) that came out a year later since it's really barebones when you think about it. >Only special infected are Smoker, Hunter, Boomer, Tank, and Witch >Very small selection of weapons (UZI, Pump Shotgun, Hunting Rifle, M16, Auto-Shotgun, Pistol) >No melee weapons (how the fuck are you gonna make a zombie game with no melee weapons?) >No Biles >No laser sights >No special weapons (Grenade Launcher, M60, Chainsaw) >No options for your secondary other than one or two pistols >No ammo upgrades >Super limited amount of game modes (Campaign, Versus, and Survival, that's it. No Realism / Realism VS, no Scavenge, no Mutations)
>>718420514 (OP) >no camera >young link sections are the worst >empty overworld >half of the dungeons are boring >half of the sub weapons are useless >too many cutscenes >awful first person aiming >most bosses are awful
yeah oot is really mediocre and I don't understand why people praise it so much
