I agree Clear Sky is fucking shit and Call of Pripyat, while arguably better than SoC in a lot of areas, fails to hit the same level of quality overall.

CoP is a little too boring, big spacious and empty theme park locations and fairly predictable quests that are built up with shallow gimmicks. It's stalker for fags who want to waste a lot of time in the game world doing menial tasks, not stalker for people who enjoyed the best parts of stalker: new locales, new hazards, new encounters, and rich atmosphere.

Whats so bad about clear sky that everyone hates it? I've only played SOP so far.

Completely retarded level design gimmicks and half the missions are broken so they never actually end even if you finish them. Also really shallow scripting despite the game wanting to parade as a scripted shooter at times. A shame because some of the new level designs are good.

The campaign is pretty fucking shit compared to SoC. Faction war gimmick is broken and fucks up the A-life system. Basically fucked up the two best things SoC had going for it.

Everything to do with the renegades
The guns are all dogshit before upgrading them
Bugs and crashes everywhere without reclamation installed, moreso than any other og stalker game
The ending

SoC has a better atmosphere because it feels more desolate
