I'm playing on hardest difficulty, because that's what was most fun in SoC, but I'm in the early game (still in Cordon) so I die a lot.
And in addition to that the game so far has mostly just been constant shootouts, which was my least favorite part of SoC

it's okay
if people can play gamma's 200 gb+ client, surely they have a spare 2tb nvme ssd to run devkit
