My problem with this and with the idea of Kerbal 2 is that Kerbal 1 is a basically perfect and fully realized game in terms of concept and mechanics. It promised a game about exploring a solar system with realistic technology and delivered exactly that. There's plenty to refine and improve upon especially in regards to graphics, but if you try to push the scope further you're missing the point by making a scifi game, and if you try to add more mechanics you're left catering to tiny groups of autists who care about fuel mixtures and Lagrange orbits. It just seems like an exercise in futility.
