This is near perfect timing because i JUST decided to try the unification mod

They NEED to bring back the ICONIC dialogue and voice overs, thats half the reason people still play the first one, the unification mod seems to have recreated it perfectly for the other factions not originally in the game, so it CAN be done.

Hopefully the fact that they remade DoW1 means that they'll go back to making it an actual RTS and not the RTT or moba shit that was 2 and 3

Relic made enough money from AoE4 that they were able to buy themselves out of SEGAs clutches. Then they found an as of yet undisclosed angel investor to bankroll them, CoH3 has apparently done well within expectations (whatever that means), now they're re-releasing versions of DoW that Sega doesn't own the rights to the source code of, presumably to maximize their income stream. dow is a bit simpler w/ resources since its all capture point based, and this also means it encourages aggression, if you don't have more points than the enemy, theyre slowly getting an advantage over you. Early game you do a lot of harassing for these points until you can snowball.

despite all the complaining about rushing, it's a very risky move since they are using that resource for not capping points when its most crucial. so if you scout and can identify the rush you're able to counter and put them at a huge disadvantage

They got entire Index Astartes article when Dow1 released, with all stiff about having much psykers and Angelos as chapter master.
It was when dow 1 released.
And of course GW lore and Dow lore were very diferent, Angelos was chapter master per GW, Blood Ravens had large number of librarians and operated by learining about their enemy weakness to form countertactics. Meanwhile in dow angelos was 3rd company commander, blood ravens strike force had 1 librarian at best both in dow 1,dc or dow 2, and most thinking about countering their enemy was in 2 when all they did was to do same thing Ultramarines(or Farsight) did.

Yeah in the lore the "vast majority" are, but in the games you have to deal with the ones that won't shut the fuck up. I'll be honest I didn't even like the Pariah in Dark Crusade, all the best interactions were with the silent Necron Lord. They work best when others can act off them, like the nids, and carry the idea that they could talk to you but choose not to.
Nucrons act more like what you'd expect from Eldar characters, they just belittle and scold other characters.

Probably because all these nudevs do nothing but try to replicate these older games and fail every single time. Iron Harvest tried to be CoH (2 specifically) and was worse in every conceivable way.

Well it may have been the fact they were gutted when THQ imploded, many staff members wisely moved on. It's why DOW3 was such a bizarre confused mess, lack of leadership. I guess they got to keep CoH since it's always been their own IP. Considering that Coh3 still has decent gameplay despite everything else, it's a shame they pawned this off to the devs that made Iron Shitfest AKA "CoH but bad".
