Borderlands 3 had the single worst story I have ever experienced in any media ever. I know story is not supposed to matter, but BL3's was SO horrendous it has utterly killed my entire motivation to play the series. Having played it right after finishing Tales probably helped.

The quality jump is incredible

I wanted to make my own Vault Dweller. Can't do that so, no, there's nothing in this series left that even interests me. All the homosexuality and poor writing of the third game solidified that nothing I do as a player or Vault Dweller will ever matter. I killed the last boss and everyone kissing Lillith's butt for it. No thank you. They ruined all interest of the Siren lore too. Terrible series. Nothing to offer.

I like how you can get into an intense firefight very quickly and when you realize badass anythings have been added into the mix, your whole strategy changes. Usually to one of sheer survival but that's just me; I love actually difficult games. Where crouching, running and sliding into cover can be an actual meaningful choice. Ofc YMMV
