If NJPW ignored its contract with NOAH and let Nakamura work Wrestle Kingdom, it would mean that WWE's business deals in Japan and the contracts they sign are worth as much as toilet paper.
They would pretty much be destroying their credibility, reliability, and trust with the Japanese market and that's after FINALLY getting another inroad after being frozen out for decades.
It just made no sense for them to do it business wise. No Jap promotion would ever trust a WWE agreement again.
