Like you said, fabricated.
>Parent company owns music label
>Warner Music signs Meghan thee Stallion
>Warner also owns HBO
>Her music is on HBO shows now
>Warner also owns a movie studio
>Her music is on a movie
>Her music is on a CW show
>CW was founded by CBS and Warner Bros
>Her music is in a CBS show
It's like they just recycle the same people over and over because it's cheaper. They already have a subsidiary that can be used to shill their new project. You made a new movie? It needs a soundtrack so the person is in it. You have a video game arm so make a licensed game. That actor from your movie? He's not voicing the main guy on this other game. That actor is then in a new TV show. The TV show has a cameo by the musician.
Not saying this didnt happen back before the 2020s, but it feels like back then when parent companies didn't own everything there were more risks with more new talent in movies, shows, music. Also game studios were not absorbed by huge publishers like now almost every Japanese Vidya company is merged with another Japanese company. Or EA/Activision buying up smaller studios, essentially the completion, and liquidating everything by the IPs.
Luckily good shit is still being made. You just have to keep looking.
